Australian NFL star Jordan Mailata has re-signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on a three-year deal worth more than $100 million .
The former South Sydney NRL junior is one of Australia’s highest-paid sporting stars after inking a fresh deal that will see him stay in Philadelphia until 2028.ESPN’s NFL reporter Adam SchefterSchefter reported the deal was worth $USD22 million per season .Eagles offensive tackle Jordan Mailata.The Eagles later confirmed they had secured Mailata’s services for another three seasons.
Mailata, who was born in Bankstown and is 203 centimetres tall, switched to American football six years ago after playing lower grade rugby league for Souths.In 2017, Souths offered Mailata a $5000 deal to play for their feeder team, North Sydney. With no American football experience, Mailata was selected by the Eagles as a seventh-round pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
Just two years later, Mailata made his NFL debut in a 27-17 loss to Washington. He featured in last year’s Super Bowl, with his Eagles
