The Albanese government says major export buyers’ concerns were taken into account when shoring up the domestic market.
Ms King said the decision this week
On Wednesday, Ms King met Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry and said Australia’s gas exports were on the agenda. The issue has not been reported in the Japanese media over the past week even though it is rare for a Japanese corporation to be so outspoken. However, energy shortages and the transition to more sustainable sources are a major political issue in Japan.reported this week that Japan was buying Russian oil above the US$60-a-barrel cap agreed on by G7 nations and Australia after Russia invaded Ukraine. Japan got the Biden administration to agree to the exception.
