China must think we’re a country that has “lost its will to live”, says Sky News host James Morrow.
“I’m not just talking about our energy policy, which seems to be deliberately calibrated to weaken our ability to manufacture and extract resources and generally be a
rich and secure nation,” Mr Morrow said.“To put it bluntly, can you think of another nation whose elites are more devoted to running down their own country as Australia?”

Government ‘pretty well’ got the energy relief package ‘right’Grattan Institute Energy and Climate Change Program Director Tony Wood says in the short term, the government “pretty well” got the energy relief package “right”. “Put the $12 price cap in, I think it's a reasonable number,” Mr Wood told Sky News Australia. “It most likely will bring down prices, higher than they otherwise would have been because even though it’s a relatively smaller amount of gas involved, it does have a big impact on electricity prices because gas often sets the price in the market so I think that will work. “It will be hard to tell because we are going to see prices probably going up a bit next year, but not as much as they would have done.
