Atlantic Cultivation Chief Operating Office Chris Crosbie is facing five charges in Clarenville, including uttering threats and assault. Twitter photoST. JOHN'S, N.L. — St. John’s businessman Chris Crosbie is slated to go to trial in July in Clarenville.

Crosbie, chief operating officer and a founder of cannabis company Atlantic Cultivation, faces five charges, including assault, resisting a police officer, and uttering threats. The 39-year-old has been in the news numerous times in recent years because of his high-profile role at Atlantic Cultivation, a cannabis company with a facility on Kenmount Road.

According to court documents, Crosbie was charged after an incident at an ESSO station in Clarenville in April 2022 during which he allegedly threatened and assaulted an employee at the business. Crosbie is also alleged to have caused a disturbance by fighting, shouting, swearing and being drunk at the ESSO, interfering with the lawful use and enjoyment of the gas station and refusing to get in a police vehicle when instructed to do so by a police officer.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
