The S&P/ASX 200 Index rose 1.2 per cent to 7280.40. MA Financial sank 10.7 per cent to $4.42 and Fortescue Metals rose 2.8 per cent to $22.92.
A commodities rally lifted the Australian sharemarket to a five-week high as copper exceeded $US9000 a tonne for the first time since June, and iron ore sustained its price above $US120 a tonne.
MA Financial said EPS has been affected by the timing of multiple corporate advisory transactions that have been largely completed in financial 2022 but are expected to close in the first quarter of financial 2023.Perpetual’s acquisition of Pendal “Both head grade and mill throughput were below our expectations,” RBC said. Despite the weaker quarter, Gold Road comfortably met its 2022 calendar year guidance: the Gruyere operation achieved its 2022 annual target, producing 314,647 ounces of gold against guidance of 300,000 to 340,000 ounces.
