Belleville police report
Belleville Police Service responded to 271 calls for service in the 96-hour period from 5 a.m. on February 17, 2023 to 5 a.m. on February 21, 2023., 2023 at approximately 2:35 a.m., Belleville police received a call regarding a possible impaired driver leaving a North Front Street gas station. A short time later, police received information of a single vehicle collision north of the city. Upon officers arriving, Mitchel Maranzana, 28, of Stirling was arrested for impaired operation.
Officers located the caller’s husband at another residence and he provided evidence that he had been bitten during the altercation. As a result, the 45-year-old Belleville woman was charged with spousal assault. She was later released with aOn February 19, 2023 at 5 a.m., Belleville police were called to a west end apartment complex regarding a female slumped over the wheel of a vehicle.
