ASNs are asked to immediately"unfollow" the accounts of the presidential and vice presidential candidates

Commissioner of the State Civil Apparatus Commission , Arie Budhiman, is of the view that every ASN should understand and be obliged to act neutrally during elections. Following orthe accounts of election participants is one of the violations agreed upon by five ministries and institutions. The Ministry of Home Affairs , Election Supervisory Agency , Ministry for Empowerment of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform , KASN, and the State Civil Service Agency have signed a joint decision letter.

The rules are already clear and established. However, the newly ratified Civil Service Law will dissolve the institution of KASN. This raises concerns regarding where the public should report to. "Socialization is also carried out on the social media of the Ministry of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform, the National Civil Service Agency, the State Civil Apparatus Commission, the General Elections Commission, and the Election Supervisory Board, as well as in collaboration with national media such as TVRI, RRI, and other media outlets, even through the Youtube platform," he said.

According to the Executive Director of the Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of Regional Autonomy Herman N. Suparman, social media has become a dominant tool for violating the neutrality of civil servants. When browsing social media, they tend to respond to and engage with posts from certain political parties or candidates, which is a breach of neutrality.
