Thirty pediatric patients from the National Children’s Hospital in Quezon City received early Christmas gifts in an outreach event organized by GMA Network’s Art Gap and the Little Ark Foundation .The event held on Thursday, hosted by Shuvee Etrata, kicked off with a prayer followed by an art activity headed by artist and GMA Senior Researcher Agatha Guidaben, where the children got to draw and paint things that make them happy.
Shuvee was also joined by her fellow Sparkle star, Kim Perez, who performed “Dilaw” and “Tuloy Na Tuloy Pa Rin Ang Pasko” for the young patients.“Alam niyo, sa GMA, hindi lang kami basta-basta gumagawa ng mga teleserye, hindi lang kami basta-basta nagbibigay ng mga news at balita sa inyo, kumakanta at umaarte," said GMA Network Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angel Javier-Cruz."Kaya po kami tinawag na Kapuso ay gusto namin itong ginagawa namin, nagbibigay kami, nag-she-share kami ng blessings, nagbibigay kami ng joy sa mga Kapuso namin na nangangailangan ng additional smiles at additional na pagmamahal," she added.Also present at the event was Little Ark Foundation founder Butch Bustamante, who thanked the entire GMA team for partnering with them for the initiative.“Maraming maraming salamat po sa pagpunta dito. Alam ko po napakarami ninyong ginawa upang matuloy po itong event nating ito today,” he said.Before the program ended, the patients enjoyed their meals together and were given gifts with food and toys.Established in 2001, Art Gap showcases the creativity of Kapuso employees and artists through a diverse range of media. It also gives back to the community as part of the project is for the benefit of GMA's socio-civic arm, the GMA Kapuso Foundation.This year, Art Gap launched “Art Gap Gives Back” to extend the spirit of creativity and charity.— CDC, GMA Integrated News
