NRL: The ARL Commission could be in position to put a proposal for a revamped West Australian franchise to the clubs in the next fortnight.
The ARLC is reportedly preparing a proposal to revamp the Western Australia n NRL franchise, having previously rejected the Perth Bears consortium’s bid., who are reporting the proposal will be taken to clubs in the next two weeks, eyeing an announcement of a new franchise next month.
The NRL and WA government would reportedly work together to hire the new team’s directors, with local business figures reportedly likely candidates. Should rival clubs give their tick of approval for the franchise to be welcomed into the NRL, the Perth team could become the 18th side.
