REGINA — At the end of an Argos practice earlier in the week, running back A.J. Ouellette was asked for an assessment of the team’s offensive line.

“We go out there and we want to be the ones hitting. We don’t want to be the ones taking a hit. And that applies to our running backs and the entire O-line.”

In the return matchup held in Hamilton last year, the Bombers survived a tipped ball late in the game that would have allowed the Ticats to win and then required a Hamilton fumble in overtime to preserve the victory. “It’s going to be a big game for our O-line,’’ said Argos head coach Ryan Dinwiddie. “We’re going to have to run the ball.”

“We battled all year to build this cohesion with our O-line group,’’ said starting centre Justin Lawrence. “Having those two guys is huge because they are willing to put their friggin’ shoulders and helmets through a guy makes you want to do it for them, as well.”Article content“Ryan has been a great addition,’’ said Bladek. “He brought his own experience from the NFL, his skills and he has done what’s been asked of him.Hunter meshed quickly and integrated himself into the CFL game, which was to him, despite hailing from North Bay, Ont.

The Argos have turned into a tight team that is pretty locked in. That cohesiveness is best embodied by the offensive line.
