Media Adviser to the Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Kola Olabisi, shares his thoughts with BOLA BAMIGBOLA about the crisis in the party
Media Adviser to the Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Kola Olabisi, shares his thoughts withAll is well with the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress as active activities at the various levels of the party from the ward level to the local government level to the senatorial districts and the state level have continued without any hitch. Meetings are being held regularly by the executive members of the party at the various levels of the party across the state.
But supporters of former governor Rauf Aregbesola are demanding restructuring of the Osun APC. Is that too much to ask by the group? When you say you want to restructure something, it is a way of finding a means to improve on that particular thing. There is no rationale being who will oppose an improvement on one’s endeavours. It happens in various strata of the society.
It is on record that Aregbesola, the self-asserted patron of TOP, threatened to give Oyetola an Ambode-treatment during the election. They all worked against Oyetola and the APC during the election. The TOP members and their leaders were publicly mocking Oyetola and the state leadership of the party after the election. We have it on record that the TOP members were holding meetings with the Senator Ademola Adeleke group in Ede before the election.
As for the restructuring, it is worthwhile to state that the state leader of the APC who is Governor Oyetola, shortly after the governorship election, disclosed his decision and readiness to restructure the party in a way that it would be beneficial to all the genuine stakeholders of the party; and not those who are APC during the day but PDP members and apologists under the cover of the night.
