International Lake Superior Board of Control gives us the lowdown on high — or low — water levels

Lake Superior declined by 1 cm last month, while the seasonal long-term average pattern is for Lake Superior to actually rise 5 cm in July, according to the board. However, if conditions are wetter than average, Lake Superior may rise by as much as 7 cm and Lake Huron-Michigan may rise by as much as 3 cm in August.
