The Arbitrum Foundation is investing $215M in ARB tokens to boost the gaming industry through its new Gaming Catalyst Program. The initiative aims to enhance game development and ecosystem growth over three years.
Initially introduced in March, the proposal gained official approval on June 7, with a majority of over 75% of votes in favor.
Notable proposal supporters included L2Beat, Wintermute, and Treasure DAO, a gaming-focused organization. Despite opposition from Blockworks Research and Camelot DAO, the proposal gained approval.A significant portion of the fund is designated for publishers, with new and early-stage developers eligible to receive grants of up to 500,000 ARB .
