The senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun Central, Olumide Aderinokun has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of
Aderinokun said the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC had left Nigeria in a pathetic situation, saying the country now “finds itself in a state of emergency with fears that the worst may happen to the economy and security.”
“Our economy is in a state of jeopardy because the government has alerted us that they are spending all their revenue on debt servicing, which simply means we are on a cliff,” Aderinokun told DAILY POST in a chat. He said the nation found itself at a stage where the APC government still tried to earn praise “for driving us to predictable debt crises with no economic achievement.“The world is suffering from inflation but it does not stop the government from protecting Nigerians with internal mechanisms, and we should not have gotten to this place.”
The Akinruyiwa of Owu called on the Federal Government to respond to the lecturers’ demands and take up the issue with seriousness.
