Art came naturally to him and sketching the landscape around him brought him much pleasure. As a young teenager, and full of curiosity, he left Thunder Bay to travel to eastern Ontario and west to British Columbia settling in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, his home for thirty years.He died on his own terms in Nanaimo General Hospital, surrounded by a nucleus of family and friends who loved him.
