The Tasting Games is being pitched as “a hilarious blind tasting competition,” with a wine-loving audience tasting the same wines as the experts on stage.
The wine experts will debate what they taste in the glass live onstage. At the same time, the audience is tasting the same wines, listening in on the experts and colluding with friends to find the international wine among the five glasses. At the end of the evening, all will be revealed. The top-scoring wine celebrity and the top scoring audience member will head to the Tasting Games Finale in Kelowna.
After Bordeaux, Champagne is the second most visited wine region in France just ahead of Alsace, but the ambition of the historic home of sparkling wine is to be the number one wine tourism destination in France. It’s the perfect solution with Parisian hotels eyeing the high-speed train from Paris to Champagne and looking for one-day programmes for tourists. It sounds like a sparkling idea to us.
