This, after neophyte solon Marcos took part in the first day of the Bicameral Conference Committee meeting on the disagreeing provisions of the proposed P5.268-trillion national budget for 2023 between the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The closed-door meeting between the House and Senate contingents to the bicam was held at the Manila Golf and Country Club in Makati City. Marcos, 28, is one of the 14 members of House contingent to the bicam, which includes the likes of Deputy Speaker Ralph Recto , Majority Leader Mannix Dalipe , Appropriations Committee Chairman Zaldy Co , and Appropriations Committee Senior Vice Chairperson Stella Quimbo .Suffice it to say that the bicam consists of an exclusively group of lawmakers that is handpicked by the House and Senate leaderships. Marcos is the House senior deputy majority leader.

The presidential son already has one enacted national measure under his belt–Republic Act No.11934 or the SIM Registration Act. President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. signed it into law last Oct. 10.
