The 94th. edition of The Telegram‘s 10-Mile Road Race, The Tely 10, took place on Saturday morning, October 8, 2022, from Paradise thru Mount Pearl onto St. John’s finishing up at Bannerman Park under ideal running conditions of 10*C at start time with hardly any wind along the course. The top male runner was Jordan Fewer, nephew of past Tely 10 winner Colin Fewer who was unable to run Saturday’s race due to an injury.
Instead, another Fewer claimed the top spot in the 94th running of the historic St. John’s race: his nephew, Jordan Fewer.Jordan, who is from Corner Brook, was the fastest runner Saturday morning, crossing the finish line at Bannerman Park with a time of 53:29. His win breaks a streak of five Tely 10 wins in the last six years for his uncle that started in 2016. The Tely didn’t go ahead in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.“I figured...I had a chance to put myself in the mix and I tried to take one home,” he said.
