The street of Anambra State Friday witnessed skeletal commercial activities after the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, lifted its planned one-week

DAILY POST had reported that the secessionist group had vowed that there would be no election in Anambra State pending the release of Kanu who has been in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS, since June.

However, following pressure from stakeholders of the region, the group on Thursday announced the cancelation of the planned sit-at-home and urged residents of Anambra State to go out and vote. DAILY POST observed that activities on streets, highways, and communities in Awka, the state capital, were skeletal on Friday.

It was also gathered that both intra and inter-city transportation is moving smoothly with a few travelers boarding vehicles and tricycles. The Anambra election has been scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 6, as political parties battle for the governorship position.
