But the visitors’ effort was far less pretty. The Braves botched four routine flies.
First it was Acuña breaking back on a first-inning fly ball by Daulton Varsho that landed in front of him for a two-out double. The next inning, Acuña and second baseman Ozzie Albies came together on a pop-up by Whit Merrifield. The ball dropped and Merrifield wound up at second, kicking off a three-run rally. In the fourth, first baseman Matt Olson went back on a Bichette floater and had it clank off his glove.
