Ismaël Koné has only been a pro for a year. He’s already taken up the mantle in Canada’s midfield
. The latter, while still just 22, is already a veteran of this team. Koné, just a year removed from his debut, perhaps retained a rookie, glove-fetcher status. But that’s changing., Davies had been presented with Canada Soccer’s 2022 Player of the Year award and Koné with the Young Player honour.
