Zegras’ new contract with the Ducks is worth a reported $5.75 million per season.
The Anaheim Ducks have signed restricted free agent forward Trevor Zegras to a new three-year contract, the team announced Monday morning.
The Ducks originally selected Zegras with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. The 6′ center debuted with the Ducks in the 2020–21 season and was named a finalist for the Calder Memorial Trophy the following year.hockey insider Frank Seravalli. Zegras turned pro with the Ducks ahead of the 2020–21 season and split that year between the NHL and AHL, scoring 10 goals and 21 points in 17 games with the San Diego Gulls and three goals and 13 points in 24 games with the Ducks.
