NEW YORK : Olympic breaking hopefuls are getting ready for the Paris 2024 spotlight, taking on a decidedly athletic approach to an event that straddles the line between sport and art form.
"I always thought that we had the potential to be as big as to be on a platform like the Olympics... I can't say that I knew that that would ever happen." Diaz travelled to the United States Olympic and Paralympic camp in Colorado Springs earlier this year, where he worked with a nutritionist, a strength and conditioning coach and a mental health coach.
He expects to compete in next month's World Championship in Belgium, where he could potentially book his spot for the Games next July and August.
