AMD is reportedly ditching its existing Ryzen mobile processor branding for 'Ryzen AI' with a 300-series numbering scheme.
According to reputable leaker Golden Pig on the Bilibili forums, AMD is allegedly ditching its existing Ryzen nomenclature for its next-generation Zen 5 mobile processors. The new branding is rumored to be “Ryzen AI” followed by a 300-series number.
It’s also possible AMD wants to highlight the inclusion of a Neural Processing Unit in these chips, a key component for Microsoft’s new Copilot+ AI PCs.
