“Ambo” continues to lash Luzon with destructive winds and heavy rains after it made its seventh landfall in the northern part of Quezon on Friday night , the state weather bureau said.
In PAGASA’s 8 p.m. update, the storm was last spotted within the vicinity of General Nakar, Quezon, and has maintained its strength with maximum sustained winds of up to 100 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 165 kilometers per hour. Meanwhile, storm signal No. 2 is still up over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Benguet, La Union, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Quirino, Aurora, the eastern portion of Pangasinan , Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, the northern and central portion Quezon , Polillo Islands, and the southern and western portion of Isabela .
As Ambo continues to barrel rains in Luzon, PAGASA said the storm will bring moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Rizal, Aurora, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Occidental Mindoro, and Marinduque until Friday night.
