People are being urged not to use a number of products from Amazon, Wish and other retailers
Customers who have purchased items from Amazon, Wish and other retailers are being warned to 'return immediately' and claim refunds, amid safety fears. The Office for Product Safety and Standards issued an alert on Monday 'to help protect people from product related harm'. The government department said it is urging people to check and ensure they are not using products that have been recalled.
chief executive Graham Russell said: 'As people enjoy their well-earned holidays, we have been stepping up our actions to tackle unsafe products that could have tragic consequences during this summer. If you are preparing to use something like a life jacket, check it is still in good condition and is not on the list of recalled, unsafe products.' The products include many used on the water, as well as camping equipment, and climbing harnesses.
