A nor'easter is set to bring significant snow to parts of Nova Scotia and eastern Newfoundland. Our weather specialist Allister Aalders has the latest timeline and how much snow to expect.
The snow then tapers off to flurries from west to east overnight Monday through Tuesday morning.
The highest amounts are forecast in eastern Newfoundland, where 20 to 40-plus cm of snow is forecast by Wednesday morning, except 10 to 20 cm on parts of the southern Avalon. Amounts will taper off to 10 to 20 cm from Gander and the Bay of Exploits southwest to Burgeo. 15 to 25-plus cm of snow is forecast along the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia, with less than 5 cm in much of the Annapolis Valley into Cumberland County.
