The two Edmonton-area adults had been conversing online, police said, and the charges against the father stem from a forensic analysis done on the Strathcona County woman’s computers.
The Edmonton Police Service, RCMP in Saskatchewan and Alberta, FBI, and U.S. Homeland Security Investigations are also involved in the investigation, the statement said.
The woman he was talking to was charged separately after her child was rescued on Feb. 4 “under exigent circumstances,” a news release about the rescue stated. She was hit with an identical list of charges, but on Thursday, ICE said it was bringing more. The investigation stemmed from an arrest in California last year where the Yuba City Police Department hit 30-year-old Brian Davis with charges related to child sexual abuse.
