All-New 2023 Hyundai Accent To Come With Sleek Looks, Turbo Power; Arriving On March 21Known as the Verna in India, where the global launch will be held, Hyundai’s new sub-compact sedan gets an entirely new design. It adopts Sensual Sportiness design language while also gaining elements seen in the newLike those three vehicles, the all-new Accent/Verna will have a full-length LED light bar stretching across the front-end, while at the bottom, will be a massive trapezoidal grille.
Inside, the Accent is expected to gain the same dual screen setup preferred by Hyundai. The tandem will have it gain full digital instrumentation and a large touchscreen infotainment system. For the Indian market, Hyundai has confirmed that four variants are coming, and there will be two engine options. The entry-level version will have a 1.5-liter normally-aspirated 4-cylinder mated to either a 6-speed manual or IVT, while the top trims will have a turbocharged 1.5-liter mated to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual clutch. The diesel option has been officially dropped for this generation.
Hyundai will surely tease more on the all-new Accent as it heads closer to launch, but it is worth noting that in India, bookings are now open. The big question is: should Hyundai Motor Philippines go against the likes of the MG GT and GAC Empow with the all-new Accent, or should they be happy enough with a crossover line-up?
