Speaking at the ACWS office Tuesday in front of a wall of hearts made by school children to show their support for shelters, Reimer said the total amount of funding the government has provided to shelters has only increased by five per cent since 2015-16. The organization is calling on the province to immediately increase shelter funding to accommodate inflation to the tune of $10.3 million.
