Paramedics from Ponoka County provided the driver medical care before STARS air ambulance brought her to hospital where she died from her injuries,
responded to a report of a serious-injury collision involving a snowmobile travelling on Blindman River near the town of Rimbey, about 125 kilometres southwest of Edmonton, Mounties said in a Monday news release. RCMP are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and ask anyone with relevant information, including who installed the steel cable across the river, to call the Rimbey detachment at 403-843-2224.
