So far, “numerous 3D-printed firearms and other firearms parts” have been seized and are undergoing analysis.
“This cross-Canada investigation has highlighted the divergence of technology and organized crime. These 3D-printed firearms are self-produceddesigned to evade detection, or modify existing firearms in a prohibited capacity,” said Supt. Marc Cochlin, ALERT CEO, in a statement.
Police in Montreal said Wednesday officers arrested 45 people and seized 440 weapons in the simultaneous raids, including 3D-printed handguns, long guns, and silencers, as well as other firearms and 3D printers.Article content
