31-year-old faces multiple charges after being pulled over in Huron Shores
An Alberta resident is facing multiple charges after a vehicle driving in an "odd" fashion was pulled over on Highway 17.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday, the East Algoma detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle travelling east from Bruce Mines.Police later spotted the vehicle travelling at 60 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on Highway 17, near Trunk Road in Huron Shores. Police allege the driver was breaching conditions of a release order, had no insurance, and was using unauthorized plates for the vehicle, which was ultimately towed from the scene.The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Video Bail in Blind River today and was remanded into custody.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
