Anthony Albanese has flagged a possible domestic gas reservation as he delivers a serious warning to the sector over its ongoing backlash against the government’s “modest” market intervention.

Picture: Sky News Australia “If investment was good prior to 2021 based upon that price then the higher price that’s allowed by this temporary measure that we put in should do nothing whatsoever to inhibit investment.
When asked if the government would consider copying the measure already in place in Western Australia, Mr Albanese said he would “fashion reform” around avoiding “unintended consequences”. Mr Albanese also took the opportunity to deliver a parting blow to the Coalition which failed to push the government to split its energy price bill.
