Prime Minister Anthony Albanese met with the Prince of Wales ahead of the coronation, where he extended an open invite for William and Kate to visit Australia.
Days earlier Mr Albanese met with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, where made a formal invitation for the King and Camilla to visit Down Under.
"Protocol requires that you can't talk about the detail of the meeting, but it was very warm and informative and insightful. Mr Albanese is in London for King Charles' historic coronation at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, and will attend as part of an Australian contingent alongside Governor-General David Hurley and the state governors.on Tuesday, Mr Albanese confirmed he will pledge the oath of allegiance to the new King.
The Albanese government was also the first ever to appoint a minister directly responsible for a Republic, Matt Thistlethwaite.
