Defences are being strengthened: military and civil alike.Connections between prosperity, energy and national security are being uncovered and scrutinised, with a new recognition that the veneration of price and efficiency can be the falsest economies when it comes to sovereignty and the common good.
We could study security preparedness and mobilisation in the Nordic countries and the new path of economic “de-risking” in China relations being advanced by the European Union.Europe wants Australian insights on Beijing’s economic coercion, cybersecurity, infrastructure protection, electoral integrity, supporting our Pacific Island neighbours, and navigating new partnerships in Asia.
