The hatchback then drove off the westbound ramp and went up the embankment, across Veterans Blvd. and crashed on the north side of the road. The driver — who was the lone occupant of the vehicle — was treated by RCMP, Airdrie Fire and EMS at the scene and was transported to Foothills Medical Centre with serious, life-threatening injuries.This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.RCMP Cpl. Airdrie RCMP continues to investigate the situation and considers excessive speed to be a contributing factor in the collision.
