Rhys McCabe felt his side more than deserved their point from Kirkcaldy
Airdrieonians player-boss Rhys McCabe insists it would have been a “robbery” if his side hadn’t salvaged a point from their trip to Raith Rovers.
”It was really enjoyable and I thought the level of performance was excellent,” he told the club media. “With 20 minutes to go we had bodies on the line, showing that solidarity at the back, so credit to the boys for that. On another day we get three points, but we’ve stopped that rut and it is a valuable point away from home playing against a team up the top end of the table, and we’ve shown in the two games we’ve played against them that we can compete.
And he said: “I think we were by far the better team and we were just missing that final piece in the final third to bury our chances. But I think we deserved to get three points.
