People with underlying conditions such as asthma, COPD, other lung diseases, heart disease, diabetes or a respiratory infection are especially at risk. Those who are pregnant, infants and children, older adults and people who work outside should also be cautious about ozone exposure. Anyone with symptoms such as chest discomfort, shortness of breath, coughing or wheezing should seek medical attention. It’s also advised to check in with family, friends and neighbours who might be struggling.
