AHS program brings hospital care into patients' homes yyc
The health authority piloted its Complex Care Hub program at Rockyview General Hospital in 2018 before expanding it to the South Health Campus in 2019. A hospital team monitors patients’ vital signs — including heart rates, oxygen levels and blood pressure — remotely, with physicians and patients having a direct line of communication to one another. “You basically create more capacity in the hospital without having the capital cost of physically building a new ward.”
