Ahmed Amzed wins back Kuala Terengganu federal seat
PAS central working committee member Ahmad Amzad Hashim won back the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat in yesterday’s by-election.
Amzad defeated Pakatan Harapan candidate Azan Ismail by 47,266 votes. He collected 68,369 votes to Azan’s 21,103. The by-election was held after the Election Court on June 27 in nullified the victory of Amzad over corruption in his campaign last year. The by-election was held simultaneously with the state elections in Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Penang Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu. – Bernama, August 13, 2023.
