“Di mata ahli UMNO, Ahamd Zahid bukan sekadar Presiden parti, tetapi pejuang yang berusaha menyelamatkan UMNO dari terus dipinggirkan dan dihapuskan oleh musuh-musuh politiknya. Menurut Mohd. Razlan, Ahmad Zahid juga berperanan dalam mengukuhkan perpaduan dalaman parti yang terpecah selepas PRU14 dan menyatukan fraksi-fraksi yang berbeza dalam parti, sekali gus mengelakkan perpecahan lebih besar.
“Walaupun bukan sebagai kerajaan dominan, kerjasama ini membolehkan UMNO memainkan peranan dalam kerajaan dan memperkukuh kedudukannya di arena politik negara,” katanya.
