Kim Griffin, Maritime Electric’s manager of corporate communications, said thousands of customers called the utility’s 1-800 number after the storm, hoping for a timeline on when they would see their power restored."We understand that the request was universal: I would like my power on," Griffin said.
"We believe that the deployment of this technology will improve the damage assessment process and the accuracy of the restoration information for our customers," Riveroll said. Roberts said an Islandwide cycle approach to tree clearing began in 2020. The budget for this clearing doubled each year since, rising to $3 million in 2022.
