Retired rock 'n' roll musician Paul Shirley was blown away when a streaming service wanted to feature his song in a blockbuster film.

Life went on. The pair have been married for 52 years and are now great-grandparents.

"When he was retiring, some of the engineers at the radio station cleaned up the 45 and mastered it," he said.The vinyl was recorded by a local producer who worked with many Tasmanian artists in the 60s and 70s. "At first they were mentioning using it in commercials for supermarkets and things like that," Simon said.
