THE Armed Forces of the Philippines , through the Visayas Command, has launched an investigation following reports of an 'underwater drone' found floating in the waters of Bohol.AFP Public Affairs Office Chief Colonel Xerxes Trinidad said in a statement Wednesday, January 23, 2025, that the military is working closely with all relevant units, particularly the Naval Forces Central, to gather more information and determine the nature of the incident.
Netizens were quick to describe the object as an underwater drone from China.The AFP emphasized its dedication to national security and called on the public to remain vigilant.The military also encouraged citizens to promptly report any suspicious activities or discoveries to the appropriate authorities, including the AFP.
