AFL champion Eddie Betts has shared a horrific video of a racist driving past what appears to be his home and repeatedly yelling a slur at his children.
“Aboriginal kids deserve to be able to play safely, free from racism and abuse over the fence,” the caption read. Shaun Burgoyne, Steven May, Kysaiah Pickett and Bradley Hill among others also shared their anger and heartbreak using emojis. “When I saw what happened over the weekend, it was hard to see, and my love goes out to those boys and they’re families,” he told Fox Footy at the time.“It’s going to keep happening. It felt like it was a targeted attack.”
