On the eve of the Sir Douglas Nicholls Round the AFL has become the latest sporting body to endorse Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's Yes campaign.

Football Australia, Tennis Australia and the Australian Olympic Committee in supporting the proposed constitutional changes.

Picture: Michael Klein “Over the past year we have had many discussions on the proposal to recognise a Voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in consultation with our clubs, our staff, our players, and the AFL’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Council.

Across rounds 10 and 11 in the AFL there will be celebrations and ceremonies recognising Indigenous culture and teams will play in special jerseys with First Nations symbols.Earlier in the month AFL General Manager of Inclusion and Social Policy, Tanya Hosch, sent aFollowing the memo the Collingwood Magpies, West Coast Eagles and Essendon Bombers announced their support for the Yes campaign.
