Selepas majlis undian yang berlangsung sebentar tadi, Malaysia dan Indonesia diundi dalam Kumpulan B bersama satu lagi pasukan iaitu Timor Leste.

Untuk rekod, ini adalah kali ketiga berturut-turut skuad B-23 negara dan ‘Garuda Muda’ akan berentap seawal peringkat kumpulan selepas diundi dalam kumpulan sama bagi edisi 2019 dan 2022. Sementara itu, juara bertahan, Vietnam diundi dalam Kumpulan C bersama Filipina dan Laos manakala Kumpulan A pula menampilkan Thailand, Kemboja, Brunei dan Myanmar.

Pada edisi 2022 di Kemboja, Malaysia tersingkir di peringkat kumpulan apabila tewas dua kali kepada Laos selepas hanya dua pasukan kekal bertanding memandangkan Myanmar dan Indonesia menarik diri.
