Over the next year, May said, Canada should “accelerate our research efforts” to see whether psilocybin can be used as a treatment for people who are suffering because of mental illness. “We encourage members of Parliament, the government and ministers to look at medical psilocybin access in the context of the Canadian health-care system,” he said.
