JOHN'S, N.L. — The Newfoundland Growlers opened the 2023 Kelly Cup playoffs with a tough 5-3 loss to the Adirondack Thunder on Wednesday, April 20, at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls, N.Y.
Adirondack scored two quick goals within 44 seconds early in the first period, followed by three more goals in a span of just three minutes and eight seconds in the middle frame. Michael Joyaux, Tommy Miller and Orrin Centazzo scored for the Growlers, with Joyaux and Miller securing their first professional postseason goals.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
